John Howard Lies
He's told some whoppers in his time as Prime Minister and finally there is a website out there to catalogue each and every lie he's told in office - JohnHowardLies.com. Unfortunately, Liberal cronies have finally discovered this site and are calling on the AEC to investigate it (read the story here).
Coincidently, the website is down today. The website owners say it's not because of the pending investigation - but who knows, they could be lying.
Apparently Labor has been promoting this website. An unfortunate coincidence? Read more here.
And for those of your playing at home... JohnHowardLies.com is back up. Have a peek while you still can. It's great stuff.
That reminds me of the www.rentrort.com.au website - a site that is authorised by the Liberal Party and counts the dollars spent on leasing Centenary House from the ALP.
I notice it has the required legal authorisation message at the bottom (though I swear that it wasn't there when I first saw the site a few weeks ago). I guess if the Libs are going to sick the AEC onto johnhowardlies.com, then it makes sense that they would ensure their propaganda outlets are correctly formatted first.
Interestingly (or maybe not), the rentrort.com.au domain name was registered by a 'Tim Howard' (according to whois.ausregistry.net.au).
Not that I'm complaining about the rentrort website - no-one likes a greedy landlord (especially one who earns over $52,000 and gets all the new tax perks too).
Both the ALP and the Liberal Party are sooky babies anyway - which is good - it's worth $3000 these days..
Andrew.
